Frequently asked questions
Does NQAS replace NABL accreditation?
No. They have different facility contexts, scopes and assessment processes. Confirm the route that applies to your organisation.
Can a private laboratory apply for NQAS?
This navigator does not assume that. NQAS material is framed for public health facilities; confirm any contracting or state route separately.
Does this produce a gap-assessment report?
No. It creates a self-reported planning list. A formal assessment requires the applicable standard, evidence review and authorised process.
Which route applies to an IPHL?
NHSRC publishes an NQAS IPHL checklist. Use the current official tool and programme instructions.
Can one evidence file satisfy every scheme?
Do not assume so. Map each record to the exact standard, scope, facility and assessment requirement.
